Don’t let the winter weather deter you from going on some fun, fantastic winter first dates.  Taking advantage of the festive holidays, no matter what your beliefs, can be a lot of fun and lends itself some excellent ideas for first days for single people.  A good start is listed below and will help you break the ice (pun intended in some areas!) just the right way.

1) A coffee shop is always a great choice no matter what time of year, but you can mix it up a little with a coffee shop picnic.  Bring a red and white checked small table cloth or large cloth napkin for the table, some snacks or sandwiches (if your coffee shop allows) and kick back.

2) If you’ve got snow in your area, go sledding. Usually there are a lot of other people around so it will be safe.  You will really get to know your date and have many laughs.

3) Ice skating is an inexpensive date to partake in. If one of you has never ice skated, all the better!  You can teach your date.

4) If live in an area where you’ve got plenty of snow on the ground, building a snowman is a lot of fun and no pressure.  Don’t forget to  make snow angels too!

5) If you have the holiday tradition of Christmas trees, ask your date to go with you to choose one.  Or if you cut them down yourself, that works too.

6) If you celebrate Christmas and have some Christmas shopping to do, invite your date with you.  Be sure to ask what they think of things you are buying.  You’ll get to see what they like and don’t like. 

7) For those sports enthusiasts, check out a local hockey game, even if it’s just the local high school team. Hockey games are generally exciting and a lot of fun. Go for hot chocolate afterwards, or bring some with you as it will be chilly even if it is indoors.

8) See if there is a ghosting hunting tour in your town. They can be a lot of fun in the colder months and you’ll get to cozy up to your date if you get a little scared.

9) If you are the adventurous, athletic type, you can check out one of the indoor rock climbing walls in your area and test your skills at rock climbing with your date.

No matter what date you choose, always make sure it will be something that will be fun for both of you and will give you the time and ambiance to be able to get to know each other. For example, while movies are great in the winter, there’s not much time you can talk and interact during them.  Most importantly, always be safe.

i need to find some maternity clothes that better fit my style. i would like to find some punk/rock “emo” style maternity clothes on the internet. i’m also rather small but i like my pants long and with a small inseam (which is really difficult to find apparently) i’m looking for some pants mainly with a maternity panel that comes up to your boobs kind of like the “secret-fit-belly” that motherhood maternity offers. i found very few punk maternity sites through google search but i dont know maybe some punk clothes offer a “maternity” section. anyway i’m also looking for shirts. can anyone offer any advice? thanks
