maternity running clothes

It’s finally Spring and the designers are in full swing and the knockoffs are running wild to get the latest in the stores before their competitors. And in my part of the country spring means summer is right around the corner. We vault from low 40′s daytime to 80′s and better seemingly overnight. Phew! A little hard for a body to take, so dressing for summer is really a matter of balance between high fashion and comfort. Some of the Summer dresses are very bold – flouncy, eye-popping prints, some retro in there for the boho fans.
I’m in the process of a complete clean-out, replacement of my summer dresses. A lot of them are old favorites and I mean old and this year is the year so out they go without further hand wringing and indecision. Less clutter, girl. best foot forward!
In amongst the business casual, the party dresses, the wedding elegant, the beaches will be calling. Got to get in to the white denim, the sexiest shorts I can find, the bikinis and monokinis that the Brazilians seem to have a lock on and the fresh, cool eye appeal of a real summery frock that says it all. Where are those magic items that mean so much and don’t necessarily cost a fortune? And I’ll add, ease of use. I’m going to be traveling a lot so I need dresses that can take it – that will emerge from a bag looking sumptuous and minty fresh?
Shoes for summer are something else again. There are some gorgeous dressy sandals with crazy heels from the big names. They are totally gorgeous and it almost doesn’t matter what they’re worn with! They’ll steal the show! And tons of platforms, wedgies, flats in all kinds of materials from glistening metallic to cork and braided straps. You name it – they’re available. Of course in amongst it all there’s an awful lot of junk. Pick those party dresses very carefully.
I love hats on the beach. You know those big floppy things that you have to peer under to expose identity! Crushable and forgiving of course. And then accessories – super wide and narrow belts, voluminous bags and carry arounds. So we’ve got a major shopping venture or two on our hands. I’m going to cover the waterfront but do a lot of my research online. You cant beat the web but so often the online blurb and pix are quite misleading and you must still go to the store to get the really right fit. Some stores are a lot better than others in terms of range, price and most particularly service. You know the one, I always had the best success with is Nordstrom’s. The staff there is amazing and extraordinarily accommodating and helpful. No I don’t get paid for that free announcement!
Want to call me this week and get started? We haven’t got a lot of time and the stuff is moving out. At least the best is so call me today.

post pregnancy weight loss?
HI All,
I am nearly 4 months post pregnancy. I gained a total of 50 pounds during my pregnancy and have only lost 20. I was 140 and now am 175. I am a working mom – full time and don’t have time to go to the gym. I’ve been doing power walks with the baby. Running at this point is a little hard on my legs. I can’t do a full sit up yet…I had a C Section and my ab muscles are weak. I don’t fit into any of my pre-pregnancy clothes. My whole body gained weight…legs, but, arms, back, tummy, etc. What is your weight loss experience. I am planning on going shopping for some clothes that FIT because the only thing I’m wearing is some maternity pants and sweats and that is just sad! What kind of weight loss can I expect and what do I need to do? Other working moms out there? How do you do it? Do I just get used to my new body?
Thanks!
Kellie
Mine can off very quick but i didnt put on that much as she was premature, but it can take up to a year to get it back. Dont lose heart though, you dont want to do it quickly as you will have saggy skin etc. 20lbs is a healthy amount so well done. Just keep doing what you are doing.
Another great place to shop for maternity running clothes products is Amazon. They have more than just books!
