do i tell the interviewer that im pregnant? will i not get the job?
im stuck in a hard place. Im not making any money right now but have an interview at a hair school where i will be making alot of money once again. my husband left me in in august with no job. ive been struggling ever since to make car payment and buy food and am six months pregnant. I need this job to get caught up and dont want to wait til april after my maturnity leave to apply for an instructors position, it may not be available. the clothes and dress attire for work they wont be able to see im pregnant. should i let them interview me and see how they like me, im sure ill get the job because ive done it before and love it. then after they hire me and i start let them know i will take a maturity leave??? i dont know what to do.
also, if im six months along and its withing my 90 day probabtion period then i have to leave at the end of march when she is due, will that be a reason to not hold my job for me? that my leave was during my first 90 days?
You are not required to tell them you are pregnant and they CANNOT fire you because you are (if they hire you). Also, they cannot ask you if you are pregnant or even if you have children. That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. All’s fair in love and getting a job when you need it! Good Luck!
