Many expectant mothers feel that their nine months will pass with them looking frumpy and not sexy. But that is not true you can dress to kill and wow your partner with beautiful dresses and outfits. Maternity clothes need to be the most comfortable to suit the changes that your body will go through this time.
There are many different styles available for expectant mothers; some of the clothes you should look for:
Maternity Dresses
Dresses are the one thing that makes us feel all pretty and feminine. Also if they are made in easy to breathe materials like cotton then they can be worn everyday. There are many styles that you can wear like short to floor length dresses as well. Or dresses that are sleeve less, short sleeves and even full sleeves look very appealing. Evening dresses for that evening out too look very flattering on expectant mothers so don’t be shy and step out to have some fun!
Pants
You can get some cool pants with elastic waistbands which allow you to wear them even as the pregnancy progresses. Pants in full lengths and ¾ lengths look very flattering as they can have a slimming effect on you.
Tops
It is important that the tops you wear offer you the most freedom while giving you a flattering shape. Nothing looks worse than an ill fitting top especially when you are expecting. Make sure the top fits just right, not too tight and not too lose. You can wear tops with empire waist line or flowy spaghetti strap tops. Match with low heels for a comfortable yet stylish look.
Maternity Bras and Briefs’
Underwear is the most important. You may need to buy your self a maternity bra only during and after the 5th month. Maternity bras offer you the extra support and strength you will require as the months progress. Briefs can be both under the belly and over the belly to suit your preferences. You also get disposable underwear which is a great option for expecting mommies.
Sleepwear
During pregnancy the more sleep you get the better it is for you and your baby and what better way to help you with this is great sleepwear. Soft PJ’s or pretty nighties what ever suits you the best is something every new mommy to be should have in her wardrobe.
Swimwear
Exercise is good for the baby and you too. Swimming is said to be the best form of exercise for expecting mothers as it is the least dangerous but has all the benefits of a good workout. Your regular swim wear is of no use even if it is a bikini as the first changes you will notice is the change in your breast size. You can experiment with a one piece, tankini, bikini or even swim shorts for utmost comfort.

I’m packing for the hospital today..Any other handy things you can think of?
I have the following: two pairs of pjs, comfy socks, WIC book, grooming essentials, ponytails, underwear…..should I also bring a maternity outfit to wear home? any other suggestions? =)
Wet baby wipes! The hospital only give you dry ones you have to wet in the sink!
