Is this in bad taste? v. Christmas gifts for the family?
I am having my little girl pretty soon and will be taking 6-8 weeks of unpaid maternity leave. Although we have saved up money for the bills and whatnot, it’s going to make Christmas a little rough this year, because I will be returning to work only shortly before the holiday. Money is going to be REALLY tight. So I was wondering: Do you think it’s in bad taste or conceited or anything to give most of our family members (like our parents and siblings, and a few close aunts, uncles and cousins) just a nice framed photograph of our baby, or maybe all 3 of us? I was thinking about it, and I know most of them are going to be asking for something like this shortly after she’s born anyways, so it doesn’t seem like too inappropriate of a gift…
Also, when did you have the first professional photographs of your baby taken? Where did you have it done and how much did you pay?
NO! I think it’s a good idea! It’s the thought that counts anyway! We plan to take family pictures for Christmas and giving those as gifts to most people.
We had Braydens pictures taken at the hospital and then when he was 2.5 months old. The hospital pics were expensive bc it’s the darn hospital. But we went to Walmart for the 2.5 month ones and paid like 7.99 for a bunch. You can take a cute picture with your camera and go to like walmart or walgreens and make Christmas cards with it! It’s really cheap. You can do/make/find cute Christmas ideas that will fit your budget. And people should understand. And if they don’t- tell them to give you money and you will go buy them stuff with their money 
lol. You can’t help it. Not your fault. Gifts shouldnt matter.
