Baby Shower Flower Seed Favors

Place card holders come in a huge variety of shapes, sizes, and themes – thousands of them. However, chair place card holders is a particular niche that stands by itself and that has a large fan base. I believe the reason that  this is so is because chair place card holders can be either extremely elegant or delightfully whimsical – and most of the holders perform double duty as party favors too!
Elegant chair place card holders:Â
These holders typically are modeled after the famous Chiavari (also spelled Chivari) ballroom chairs that were first manufactured in Italy in the 1920s. However, these chairs had their true beginnings back in the late 1790s when a competition was held to encourage Italian artisans to design new chair shapes. What’s important about the Chiavari chair is that it is synonymous  with ‘ballrooms’ ‘galas’ and ‘elegance’.  These place cards holders have a very elegant and sophisticated look to them. They also typically have a favor box that makes up the lower half of a chair that can be filled with the candy of your choice, flower seeds, a crystal keepsake or whatever you would like to fill them with. Â
Whimsical chair place card holders:Â
These holders typically resemble Andirondack chairs – those deep seated, high back wooden chairs associated with relaxation and the great outdoors.  These chairs had their humble beginnings back in the late 1800s and it is said that they were built as an alternative to uncomfortable Victorian chairs. Made of wood planks that support the back, the sole purpose of these chairs was ‘comfort’.  Andirondack place card holders also serve double duty, holding not only the place card, but many of these can hold photos or candles enabling them also to serve as party favors for your guests to take home.  Whichever chair style you choose, you can be sure that they will add to the beauty of your celebration.  DivaFavors – Copyright 2009

baby shower favors?
I am hosting my sister-in-law’s baby shower. I thought for favors that it would be cute to get very small planters, seeds, and soil and package pretty with a poem or something to connect flowers (or seeds) to a new baby….any ideas?
Also, Im looking for a place to buy the supplies so it wont cost a fortune. I remember seeing little seed kits at Target some time ago (they came with everything) for $1 each. DOes anyone know if they still have those?
Try a dollar store. They usually have cool stuff like that. You can also give out candles or picture frames. Places like Michael’s or craft stores usually have stuff like there too. Good luck!
Another great place to shop for Baby Shower Flower Seed Favors products is Amazon. They have more than just books!
