Baby shower thank you cards?

My baby shower is on Sunday and my host just called me asked me to bring the envelopes for my thank you cards so that my guests could write their addresses on them and make it easier to get the thank-you cards out. I do already have the thank you cards and envelopes, and I did tell her I would bring them. I am just not sure that it would be proper etiquette for someone to self address their own thank you cards. I think it would be nicer for me to address them. I didn’t want to tell my friend no, though. So, what do you think? I thought I might go on and address the ones I can tonight (the guests I know are coming) and just tell her that I had plenty of time and I already did them. Do you think that would hurt her feelings or make her mad?

I agree with you. I think that it perfectly fine to simply tell her that you don’t mind addressing them yourself because you have the time. You could also say that you forgot them. Congrats on your baby & have fun at your shower!!
