i want to use the name Xavier which is actually pronounced Zav – ee – ay (french) i really love this name.
but i dont want people to constantly pronounce it wrong, so im debating whether to spell it Zaveeay or Zavieay so people say it right although its the wrong spelling or spell it Xavier and have people say
Zavier or ecks av vier the whole time
neither of which i like!
Spell it the conventional way Xavier, people will know how to pronounce it better than if you spell it Zaveeay or Zavieay. And remember PEOPLE WILL MAKE FUN OF YOUR CHILD IF YOU SPELL HIS NAME ZAVEEAY OR ZAVIEAY. He will be less likey to get a job, he will be teased in school. There was a whole study a couple of years ago about children with strange spelled names or strange names and they don’t do as well in life as children with normal names. Your child will resent you if you cause him to be teased by giving him a weird name.
