Super Mario Brothers party ideas, a very popular kids birthday party theme, come from a video game that started a craze! The huge success of the computer game, Super Mario Brothers, prompted movie producers to create a film about it.
Brothers Mario and Luigi are plumbers who didn’t have work because a construction company owned by Anthony Scapelli drove them out of the plumbing business. Daisy, the pretty girl whom Luigi is dating, discovers dinosaur bones under the Brooklyn Bridge. Daisy asks the brothers to help her dig up the bones, however, when they arrive, they see Scapelli’s goons damage the area by leaving water pipes open. As water fills the place, the Mario brothers try to stop the flow but are interceded by two weird-looking creatures, Spike and Iggy who call themselves the Super Koopa Cousins. As they walk farther in the cave, they uncover an inter-dimensional passageway that leads them to a strange world called Dino-world where they find creatures evolving from dinosaurs and giant reptiles. In their adventure they realize that they are the only hope for mankind to continue to exist because evil creatures like King Bowser Koopa, a descendant of T-Rex, plans to invade the world.
In the parallel dimension, it turns out that the Mario brothers have super powers that can help them destroy the evil King and his minions. Coincidentally, Daisy is also a princess in the Dino-world whose father was made into a fungus by King Koopa. As the evil King crosses the inter-dimensional world, he devolves Anthony Scapelli and made him into a monkey. A fight between good and evil ensues, and as often depicted in films, good emerges victorious. Mario devolves King Koopa, turning him into a tiny slime and get rids of his underlings.
The movie gives a surreal experience to fans of Super Mario Brothers. It is an exciting and fun movie with a lot of visual effects to really trigger one’s imagination. Great movie for the whole family!
There is even a Super Mario Brothers pinata to use as a fun party game, so if your thinking about a kids birthday party using this movie and game as a theme…do it…your kids will have a blast, and so will you!
