Centerpieces should enhance the table, not overpower it. For a large baby shower with multiple tables for seated guests, consider awarding the centerpieces at the end of the party as door prizes. The hostess can put a sticker underneath the chair of one lucky recipient per table and, at the end, announce that whoever has the sticker is the winner of the center piece. This is especially exciting when there is a flower arrangement or creative craft involved.
Paper plates, cups, napkins and utensils should match or coordinate with the color of the tablecloths. Party favors should be set at each place or, in the case of a buffet without full seating, they may have a table of their own. This is the time for the party planner to be creative. The favors can feature nuts or candies wrapped in any number of miniature items, such as diapers made from napkins, plastic or paper containers with unique shapes or wrapped in tulle.
Balloons
Enforce the baby shower decor with helium filled balloons. These may be tied to chair backs or held down on tabletops with festive weights. If the hostess uses a large carriage or bassinet for guests to put all of the gifts into, balloons may adorn that as well. If not, these can be fashioned into an arch or cluster to highlight a gift table or chair for the mother-to-be.

Why have I heard multiple comments about how it’s better for the baby than having the baby sleep in a crib in their own room? If they’re sleeping soundly through the night, and you have a monitor just in case, what is the reason some people claim co-sleeping is the “right” thing to do? I personally believe to each his/her own.
Because it’s been proven that it reduces the risk of SIDS. How many cases of SIDS have you heard of when they baby was sleeping with their mother? Almost none. A sleeping mother can regulate baby’s body temperature with her own, remind the baby to breathe…. whereas if a baby is in their own cot, in their own room and they stop breathing (which isn’t uncommon in a small infant) then there’s nothing to remind them to breathe again.
It *is* a personal preference, and it’s *only* safe if you take the proper precautions for it.
