Does anyone know about reptisafe?
I have this baby frog, he isn’t growing very fast. Every time i mist his stomach starts rippling and he curls up his arms. It is really scary to watch. I am not sure if maybe it is something in the reptisafe. The pet store told me to use it and so far all my frogs have died. I keep the heat right and humidity and they eat regularly and i change their water and everything. I tried cleaning his water dish and putting fresh water in and only a drop of reptisafe and putting him in to rinse him and it made it worse. he sprawled all his legs out then curled up. he seems better under his tree so thats where i put him which i also cleaned. the barkdust and bedding is all brand new. i dont understand can anyone help?
he is a white lipped tree frog. i am pretty sure i put the right amount in. I am not sure how many ounzes my mister is exactly. i have been using tap water because i lost my car but even when i used distilled with reptisafe they died. but i never noticed them doing this
What kind of frog do you have? Does it need frequent mistings? You might need more of the reptisafe in the water. It says two drops per cup of drinking water, but maybe the water is still hurting him. The reptisafe is supposed to remove the chlorine from tap water. I know that chlorine burns fish’s gills, so it must hurt frogs sensitive skin, too. Are you using tap water or bottled water? You probably still need the reptisafe in bottled water because the reptisafe will help with the frogs slime coat and add electrolytes and calcium to the water.
